This Privacy Policy explains how The Mugdhaa Method
(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your
information when you use our website at
https://www.themugdhaamethod.in
and our mobile application (together, the “Service”).
By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
- Name and mobile number — required to create an account. We sign you in
using a one-time password (OTP) delivered to your number over WhatsApp.
- Email address — optional. Collected only if you choose to provide it
(for receipts and notices), or if you sign in using Google.
- Profession and any optional profile details you enter.
- Health notes, if you voluntarily share them so instructors can adapt sessions
safely. Please share only what you are comfortable disclosing.
- Photos, images or files you upload.
- Messages you send through session chat or our contact forms.
b) Information collected automatically
- Usage data — which videos and live sessions you open, watch progress,
and when you joined.
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser or app user-agent,
and device type.
- Cookies and similar technologies — a session cookie to keep you signed in,
a “remember me” token if you stay signed in, and an anonymous visitor identifier used
to measure how many people watch a session.
- Push notification token — if you enable notifications, so we can send you
session reminders. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device or browser settings.
c) Location
With your permission, we access your device’s precise location solely to record
attendance when you punch in or punch out of a session. We do not track your location in the
background, and we do not use it for advertising. You may deny or revoke this permission at any
time; other parts of the Service will continue to work.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and secure your account, and to sign you in using WhatsApp OTP.
- To deliver live sessions, recorded classes, workshops and courses.
- To record attendance and show you your progress.
- To process payments and issue receipts.
- To send you service messages — session reminders, schedule changes and account notices —
by WhatsApp, push notification or email.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To detect abuse, prevent fraud and keep the Service secure.
- To comply with applicable law.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered
directly with Razorpay and are never stored on our servers. We retain only the
transaction reference, amount, status and the plan purchased. Razorpay’s handling of your
payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. Third-Party Services We Rely On
We share the minimum information necessary with the following providers so the Service can function:
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to deliver your login OTP and session
reminders to your mobile number.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo — to deliver push
notifications to your device.
- Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google, in which case we
receive your name and email address from Google.
- Razorpay — to process payments.
- YouTube and Bunny Stream — to host and stream video content.
- Our hosting provider — to operate the servers on which the Service runs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account remains active. Login OTPs are stored
only until they are used or expire (10 minutes). Attendance and viewing records are retained while
they remain relevant to your learning history or to our legal and accounting obligations. When you
ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we are required to retain
records by law (for example, tax records relating to payments).
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction — you can view and update your profile at any time
from your account settings.
- Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated personal
data by contacting us using the details below.
- Notifications — you can disable push notifications in your device or browser
settings, and you may opt out of WhatsApp broadcasts by replying STOP.
- Location — you may revoke location permission at any time.
7. Security
All traffic to and from the Service is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to personal data is
restricted to authorised personnel. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely
secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we
will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated”
date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
